A Little Chanel Inspiration

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
                                                       Coco Chanel

Coco Chanel is a fashion icon, she was the one who created pants for women. Because of the crisis after the war, she used cloths that were meant to be for men’s underwear, to create the three pieced cardigan.

She was able to change the society’s point of view, she transformed people’s mind and made elegant what was considered common and “poor”.
She was an innovator, taking advantage of the cult to the body that emerged from the war, and it was how she destroyed the myth of having to make everything personalized and to the exact measurements of the buyer. This came up like an earthquake, changing the hierarchies, the vanguard and everything that was from the high class became available for everyone.

Today we bring to you the inspiration of Coco which is still moving society these days. Lucia Zapata, inspired us. Her picture and her story moved us so much. The story behind it is that she went to get a haircut and she didn’t liked it. She thought she looked like a 9 year old boy. But what was wrong wasn’t her hair cut, which by the way it’s perfect for her, the wrong thing is how publicity and marketing tell us that beautiful and feminine woman have long hair. We have to deal with messages like that, trying to put women into biologically impossible uniforms like big boobs, long hair and big eyes.

Lucia’s decision was to take advantage of her new looks, and of course of Chanel’s legacy. She created a wonderful outfit. She took a white shirt from her uncle, combined it with black jeans, black boots a black blazer and gave it a twist with a red tie (also her uncle’s tie) so that it would go with her red lips. The outfit turned was a complete hit! She was getting all the looks.
She loves her haircut now, we admire her so much because she did everything to feel good with her new looks, she was so recursive putting her outfit together.

Here are some examples of how this style has been worn:

On the streets.

On the runway

It is wonderful how Chanel is still alive through all of those women who today feel free to break any scheme, who aren`t afraid to create with what they’ve got and who aren’t afraid of showing themselves NUDE, this means exactly how they are.

Get Love, Get,
